The Top 10 Festival Headliners To Look Forward To In 2017

Festival headliners are causing much excitement here at BBHQ. We’ve enjoyed hearing all the announcements and reveals of which bands are playing which of our favourite festivals. The band line- ups we’ve seen so far prove that 2017 has a strong set of festival headliners for us to enjoy! Metalheads and rockers have a whole host of awesome and iconic bands to go and see this year. Whether you’re keeping it British or travelling to Europe, there’s a whole host of must-see bands.

Here are our top festival headliners to look forward to in 2017:

1. System of A Down @ Download/Rock Am Ring

The metal legends System Of A Down have got a busy festival season ahead with multiple performances at some of the biggest metal festivals in Europe. We’re super excited to see them open the festival headliner proceedings at Download festival this year. Sure to raise the roof (if there was one) wherever they perform, we’ll be waiting for killer tracks such as Toxicity and Chop Suey!

2. Foo Fighters @ Glastonbury

The Foo Fighters, one of the biggest rock bands on the current music scene is heading to Glastonbury! After a broken leg and a Glastonbury cancellation back in 2015, the Dave Grohl and the Foos will certainly want to redeem themselves. Fingers crossed they showcase loud and proud tunes such as The Pretender and Times Like These! We can’t wait to see this 2017 festival headliner!

3. Biffy Clyro @ Download/TRNSMT

So looking for the chance to Mon The Biff at not one but two festivals this year! Biffy Clyro are sure to set any stage alight at both Download and TRNSMT, with top class performances from some of our favourite songs. We are literally counting the minutes until we hear songs such as Mountains and Bubbles blasting out around the Download main arena – roll on June!

4. Muse @ Reading/Leeds Festival

Off the back of Download 2015 and Glastonbury 2016, it’s fair to say Muse are festival veterans. With iconic songs and an out-of-this-world most recent album (Drones), we are hella excited to see Muse as festival headliners at Reading/LeedsáFestival 2017! Time Is Running Out and Knights of Cydonia are sure to make an appearance as well as newer tracks such as Psycho and Dead Inside!

5. Rammstein @ Rock Am Ring

The legendary German metal band Rammsteiná,are descending onáRock Am Ring this year. Lucky festival-goers not only enjoy a whole host of classic songs but a fiery performance to go with it. Flamethrowers, fireballs and Till Lindemann sounds like a pretty good evening to us. Here’s hoping for huge performances of Sonne, Feuer Frei and the legendary Du Hast!

6. Linkin Park @ Hellfest

With new Linkin Park tracks getting us through the wait for a new album, we’re so pleased to see Linkin Park at Hellfest this year. They’ve certainly proven themselves to be top festival headliners in the past. The new album is released on the 19th May 2017, so we’re looking forward to hearing a whole host of songs old and new!

7. Megadeth @ Wacken/Bloodstock

Who doesn’t love a bit of Megadeth at a festival? The seasoned rockers are certainly keeping themselves busy during 2017, with appearances at both Wacken and Hellfest festival. We can’t wait to hear David Mustaine perform awesome tracks such as Symphony of Destruction and Fatal Illusion is certainly something that should top the summer to-do list!

8. Red Hot Chili Peppers @ Super Bock Super Rock

The Chilis are heading to Portugal this year to perform at the Super Bock Super Rockáfestival. Off the back of awesome performances at Reading/Leeds last year, these guys certainly know how to put on a show. Under The Bridge and Dani California are top of our RHCP wishlist for this year! We are hugely jealous of anyone heading to Lisbon for the summer.

9. Enter Shikari @ Slam Dunk Festival

The legendary Enter Shikari are the festival headliners at Slam Dunk Festival this year. Can you really believe it’s been 10 years since their Take To The Skies debut album? Well, you better believe it because their performance at Slam Dunk festival is a 10-year celebration of this iconic album! Who else can’t wait to see Mothership performed live?

10. Aerosmith @ Download/Hellfest

Last, but certainly not least, is the almighty Aerosmith who are closing proceedings at Download this year! As part of their farewell tour, the iconic band are definitely going to make sure they go out with a bang! One of our favourite festival headliners of 2017, we just can’t wait to hear classics such Don’t Want To Miss A Thing played just one more time!
