The Headliners of Leeds and Reading Festival 2017

So let’s get straight into the meat of the event. This year’s big names at Leeds and Reading Festival are all unmissable events that have to be at the top of your list. Possibly the biggest name in modern British Rock is Muse who will be playing on the Friday in Leeds and Sunday in Reading. Since the 1990s, the three piece band has taken Alternative music to new levels that have bent through black holes and come out as sound revelations. To get you in the mood for Muse, here’s a classic song to get you ready for the weekend.

Sticking to the unparalleled quality of British Rock, this year’s festivals feature Kasabian. Playing on the Friday in Reading and Saturday in Leeds, this is guaranteed to be a quality experience. Their new album “For Crying Out Loud” was released earlier this year, so we’re looking forward to their show. Check out “You’re in love With a Psycho”, one of their latest hits that we think will sound great live.

The final headliner will bring a bit of fresh air with his incredible rap music. Eminem is one of the most famous rappers in history and now he’s on the Leeds and Reading stages. Despite a three year gap between now and his last album, a new album is in the works. This means that we may hear some brand new songs from the Rap God. If not, there are still decades of repertoire for him to choose from. Whatever he does, we’re going to love it. You can catch Eminem on the Saturday in Reading and Sunday in Leeds. Just because we all love mom’s spaghetti, enjoy this classic rap from 8 Mile.

Familiar Faces in This Year’s Festivals

Also taking the main stage that deserve your attention are some of these recognizable names. Let’s with the latest craze that has taken Electronic music to the next level. Major Lazer will be performing their groundbreaking music that is known for being incredible when seen live. With their first hit single “Lean On” hitting #2 in the UK Charts, you know they’re something special. Check it out below. Major Lazer will be taking the stage on Saturday in Reading and Sunday in Leeds.

After their success at Boardmasters 2017, Two Door Cinema Club will play on Friday in Reading and Saturday in Leeds. For everyone who loves Indie Pop music, this is the band to follow during the weekend. After their incredible performances in the past, we’re looking forward to what they do at this event. Check out their 2010 song “What you Know” and let this band win you over when they play it live.

Another act worth watching, Jimmy Eat World are also playing on Friday in Reading and Saturday in Leeds. With great rock songs from the 2000’s like “The Middle” and “Always Be” it’s easy to see why people still love listening to them. If you love alternative music then Jimmy Eat World are a band you cannot miss. Check out their song “My Best Theory” from their 2010 album “Invented”.

Away From the Main Stage

With multiple other stages, you can find yourself a great band or act to watch. Even comedians like Bill Bailey, Simon Amstell , Katherine Ryan and (our favourite) Piff the Magic Dragon will be performing on the Alternative Stage over the weekend. But you may also want to check out some of the bands on the other stages, like You Me At Six, Billy Talent and PVRIS who will all be playing over the weekend. Just because they’re not on the Main Stage doesn’t mean they’re not worth watching. Check out “You and I” by PVRIS and you’ll see what we mean.

So that is our list of some of the acts worth looking out for at this year’s Leeds and Reading Festival. Are there any bands you’re particularly looking forward to?
