Cyber Bites Piercing Jewellery
The Cyber bites piercing is one of many types of lip piercing. There are many different locations of lip piercing, each with their own name. Want to find out more about Cyber Bites piercings? We have taken all your FAQs to give you the answers to everything you wanted to know about cyber bites.
What are cyber bites?
The cyber bites piercing combines a medusa piercing and labret piercing to create a vertical lip piercing combination. This double lip piercing places a labret bar in the centre of the philtrum and another below the lip in the centre for an aesthetically stunning look that should be perfectly symmetrical.
How much do cyber bite piercings hurt?
Cyber bite piercings will hurt but no more than any other type of lip piercing. Many people say that lip piercings are less painful than other types of piercing, rating them at 3 out of 10 on the pain scale. However, the cyber bites piercing does involve getting two piercings in one sitting which will mean that during healing it may be more uncomfortable due to the extra swelling.
What can I eat after a cyber bites piercing?
It is important to be careful with what you eat when healing lip piercings because they are partly inside the mouth. After getting your cyber bites piercing eat soft cold foods to help soothe the swelling. After eating, make sure to rinse your mouth with mouthwash or saltwater solution to wash away any food debris. Avoid spicy food as this can re-open the cyber bites piercing wound and avoid sticky foods, including chewing gum, as they can get stuck around the piercing jewellery.
What can I drink after a cyber bites piercing?
After getting a cyber bites piercing it is best to only drink cool water during the initial healing process. To relieve swelling and discomfort you can suck on an ice cube or ice water lolly. Avoid drinking alcohol or carbonated drinks as these can aggravate the piercing wound of your cyber bites piercing. Once your piercing has healed you will be able to drink anything you want.
How long does it take cyber bites to heal?
The Cyber bite piercing healing process takes an average of 2-3 months to completely heal. During this time it is important not to change your piercing jewellery or to knock or move your piercing as this can extend the healing time. If you have an infection while healing your cyber bites then allow extra time for your piercing to fully heal. Your piercer will be able to assess your piercing if you need help or advice.
How can I make my cyber bites piercing heal faster?
To heal your cyber bites quickly, ensure you follow correct aftercare. Regularly rinsing your mouth with saltwater solution and bathing the outside of your piercing twice a day will help to heal your piercing. You cannot make your piercing heal faster but you can help it to heal successfully without infection. Keep your piercing clean, do not touch, move, or knock it and avoid spicy foods during healing to make the initial swelling reduce faster.
Does a cyber bites piercing ruin your teeth?
The cyber bites piercing can cause damage to your teeth if your piercing bar is too long as it will catch on your teeth and chip or wear away the enamel which will ruin your teeth. With a short labret bar and careful cleaning, you can reduce the impact of your cyber bites piercing on your teeth. Regularly check your teeth and gums for signs of wear or redness and use mouthwash to ensure your mouth stays clean. Cyber bites piercing will only ruin your teeth if you do not follow an oral hygiene routine or if you are unfortunate enough for the piercing jewellery to chip your tooth.
Can you kiss with a cyber bites piercing?
You can kiss with a cyber bites piercing but only once the piercing has healed. It is important to wait for the 2-3 months of healing time before kissing with your new cyber bites. Kissing can introduce the other person’s bacteria into your mouth and to the outside of the lips. A kiss will also put pressure on your cyber bites piercing. It is important that the piercing is not knocked or moved in order to successfully heal your piercing.
Cyber bites is a popular lip piercing combination because of the aesthetically pleasing vertical alignment of the medusa piercing and the labret piercing.

Cyber Bites Piercing Procedure

ID may be required
Ready to get a Cyber bites piercing? Use our store locator to find your local Blue Banana Studio. There’s no need to book an appointment; you can simply go to the store of your choice and be pierced on the day.
Make sure to check the Cyber bites piercing age restriction before coming to store. It can help to avoid any undue disappointment. In a Blue Banana studio, the Cyber bites piercing age restriction is 16 (ID may be required). Lip piercings are not available with parental consent.
Once you’re all booked in, you will have some forms to fill out. A member of Blue Banana staff will go through the steps and can help you pick out jewellery. Then you can meet the piercer! They too will give you a quick consultation and briefing before discussing the Cyber bites piercing location.
Cyber bites piercings are usually pierced with a labret. Your piercer will pass a cannula needle through the piercing site and then insert the jewellery. If you want to have your piercing cyber bites in one sitting, remember you will be having two piercings at once.

Cyber Bites Aftercare

Temps de Guérison: 2-3 Months
A cyber bites piercing can take 2-3 months to fully heal. The exact healing time varies from person to person and will need top aftercare to ensure successful healing.
After the initial piercing, your lip is likely to swell and can be quite sore. During the healing process, you should avoid spicy and sticky foods, including chewing gum as this can get caught around your piercing jewellery. During healing, avoid smoking, alcohol, and kissing as this may introduce unwanted bacteria into your piercing wound.
There are two different types of cleaning you will need to do for your Cyber bites piercing. When cleaning the inside of your Cyber bites piercing, swill a saltwater solution around your mouth twice a day. Ensure there is no food stuck around your piercing, regularly use mouthwash to maintain good oral hygiene, and try to avoid touching your piercing while it heals. When cleaning the outside of the piercing, use a saltwater solution or Tea Tree Oil to gently bathe the piercing twice a day.
