Dr Martens Beavis and Butt-Head: Sofa Shot

“Why Beavis and Butt-Head?” we hear you cry? Well, it’s pretty simple really; these two knuckleheads have become real cult figures, being inextricably linked to the Grunge scene and counterculture movement. And that makes them a perfect match for Dr Martens, don’t you think?

Coming in the timeless and iconic Pascal style, there are two different designs to choose from; the London and the B & B. Coming in a black and royal blue colourway, the London boots feature illustrations of everyone’s favourite metalheads rocking out in front of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament (Beavis on the outer panel and Butt-Head on the inner panel). Bearing a split black and white upper, the B & B boots are emblazoned with two different images of the duo thrashing and playing air guitar. With Beavis and Butt-Head logo detailing to the heel of both pairs, these boots are a colourful blast from the past.

With the classic 8 Eye fastening, trademark yellow stitching, grooved air cushioned sole and heel-loop, these boots retain the iconic Dr Martens DNA that you know and love. Plus, these limited edition boots come in a Beavis and Butthead emblazoned box, the perfect place to hide your Winger t-shirts from prying eyes! Pretty ace, huh? Remember, this kick-ass line won’t be around for long, so make sure you get your hands on a pair whilst stocks last.

WHO ARE BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD?

If your memory of MTV’s glory days is a bit hazy (Back when they actually played *music* as well as TV shows), then you may need a quick refresher on these heavy-metal loving lunkheads. So here’s a crash course in all things Beavis and Butt-Head related:

WHEN DID IT START?

Created by Mike Judge (The hilarious dude behind King of the Hill and Silicon Valley) back in 1992, the show was originally broadcast by MTV and ran from 1993 to 1997 to great acclaim. In fact, the series proved so popular that it even spawned Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, a feature film in 1996. (The soundtrack to this was peak ’90s perfection, it’s seriously worth a listen!) What’s more, the series was the birthplace of the ever acerbic Daria Morgendorffer, another iconic ’90s cartoon.

SO…WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

Beavis and Butt-Head are your archetypal teenage delinquents and most of the show focuses on their misadventures in a small Texan town. With barely any social skills, morality or brainpower between them, shenanigans ensue with hilarity guaranteed!

WHO’S WHO?

Beavis (Also known as Cornholio) is a blonde fry cook with an underbite, a predilection for pyromania and a reckless streak. Generally pretty subservient to Butt-Head, Beavis is often thought to be the dumber of the two, though he occasionally displays instances of dazzling wit and has a little more luck with the ladies than Butt-Head does! Butt-Head is the dark haired ringleader with boundless self-confidence, a severe overbite and the most distinctive laugh we’ve ever heard. The chief tormentor of Stewart Stevenson and Beavis, Butt-Head is utterly oblivious to social nuances and is generally a total jerk to everyone he meets.

So there you have it, a brief lowdown on the greatest cartoon of the 1990s! If you’re as big on Beavis and Butt-Head as we are, then you need to snatch some of Dr Martens’ throwback footwear! With the style and sturdiness you’ve come to expect from Dr Martens and the glorious goofiness of MTV’s most famous metalheads, there’s everything to love about these boots!
