DESCRIPTION
This alternative mug has two designs that wrap around either side of the handle; on the ‘front’ side is the copy of the theatrical release poster. Victor and Emily, the main characters of this film, stand nearly hand-in-hand in front of a supernaturally full moon, with the ghostly dog Scraps playing in the background. On the other side of the mug, the quote “Can the Living Marry the Dead?” is printed in the stylised font of the title card. The quote is framed by butterflies, reminiscent of the butterflies Emily transforms into once she finds peace at the end of the film.
This stop-motion animated feature from 2005 remains a gothic fan favourite today.
