Barbell Piercing Size Guide
Here are the key measurements you'll need to know for barbells:
- Length: the length refers to the measurement from one end of the bar to the other without the balls whether for curved or straight barbells.
- Gauge: the thickness of the bar, which can be measured in (g) or (mm). For ease, we use (mm).
When choosing a size (e.g. 1.2mm), the number refers to the gauge of the bar. Once you have clicked on a product most items will have a variety of lengths available from a dropdown menu.
If you have a new piercing, we recommend a longer barbell to allow room for potential swelling. Once the piercing has fully healed you could look at choosing a barbell with a shorter length.
