What is Polyvore?

Polyvore is an online community that allows fashion lovers to create their own look, style or set from any clothes they find on the web.  With 6.5 million monthly users, Polyvore allows you to try a trend without having to buy the clothes first.  It also allows you to discover new brands and products by browsing through the hottest companies and sharing looks with your friends...and now Blue Banana is there too!

How to Enter

All you’ve got to do to enter our competition is create a cool set or look using Blue Banana clothes and accessories.  First of all, sign up for a Polyvore account.  Then visit our latest competition using the button to the right and submit your set made up from our alternative fashion and accessories range.  You can create as many looks as you want, and all of them could be in with a chance of winning.

How to Create a Set

Before trying to create a set on Polyvore, you’ll need to save the ‘clipper’ tool to your internet favourites.  The clipper means you can select any clothing from a website and save it to Polyvore, allowing you to use it in your set.  Then use the ‘create’ tab on Polyvore to make your set, dragging in the clothes available to create the perfect look.  Once you’re happy with your set (and remember, you can only use Blue Banana clothes) submit it to our Blue Banana – Alternative Fashion contest for your chance to win a £250 shopping spree.

How to Import from Blue Banana

Before trying to import clothes from Blue Banana you’ll need to add the ‘clipper’ tool to your favourites (as mentioned above).  When you are on the item of clothing you want, select the clipper tool from your favourites.  Then click on the picture you need with the clipper and save it to Polyvore.  Once you’ve done this you can use them in any look you want to.

Terms and Conditions

All you have to do to enter this competition to win £250 of Blue Banana vouchers is submit a set, made up of Blue Banana clothes and accessories, to the Blue Banana – Alternative Fashion competition on Polyvore.  Remember competition entry ends on Friday 15th April 2011 at 11:59pm, with the winners chosen and announced on Tuesday 19th April 2011.  Good luck!
