We’ve got another special announcement here at your favourite alternative store Blue Banana, because we’re pleased to tell you that Fearless Vampire Killers will be treating fans in Cardiff to an exclusive and very special signing at the Blue Banana store in the city. The five-piece from London will be in town on Wednesday 6th February at 5pm, ready to meet 100 lucky shoppers.
As we’re expecting a massive demand to get in to the store with fans clambering to see the band, we’ll be limiting entry to 100 people who have a lanyard, and you can pick 80 of these up prior to the day of the signing from the store in Cardiff.
We’re offering the remaining 20 to our loyal web following, and you can get your hands on them at our Fearless Vampire Killers signing page which will be announced here on Tuesday 29th January. Remember though, there really are only 80 available in store on a first-come-first-served basis, and they will fly out fast, so get down to the store as soon as possible!
If you’re a little bit unfamiliar with Fearless Vampire Killers, where have you been recently?! Forming back in 2008, the alternative rock back now consists of five members, Laurence Beveridge , Kier Kemp, Drew Woolnough, Cyrus Barrone and Luke Illingworth. The name of the band came from a comedy horror film made in the 60s by legendary film director Roman Polanski.
The band first starting blooming under the name of Remember When, back in 2007, but after moving from Suffolk to London they broke up, reforming under their current name. From their formation in 2008 it was four years before the group released their first studio album, Militia Of The Lost, in May 2012 through Goremount Records, with Beveridge describing it as featuring love, loss and addition, and being about the struggle to find a place in society.
Their style has been given labels ranging from rock to death pop, but no matter how you want to categorise them, Fearless Vampire Killers definitely have a unique style and each member seems to contribute brilliantly to the musical arrangement, with influences ranging from David Bowie to Iron Maiden and Metallica.
If it’s your dream to meet the band, get down to the Cardiff store or enter your details for a lanyard online to ensure you’re one of the lucky 100 who get to see the band when they hit Wales on the 6th February. If you’ve never been to Blue Banana in Cardiff before, take a look at our Cardiff store page for details of how to get there and opening times.
