Hit The Deck Festival History
One of the more alternative music festivals in the UK spread across two cities, Hit The Deck festival is a brand new event, welcomed by all residents in Nottingham, Bristol and the surrounding areas. It is a two-day event and boasts an awesome selection of four venues in each city.
In Nottingham, Hit The Deck festival is held across four huge venues at Rock City, Stealth, Rescue Rooms and The Forum, so you can be sure that you’ll be provided with four awesome places packed with top quality acts from across the globe. Similarly there are four venues in Bristol: the O2 Academy, The Thekla, The Fleece and The Exchange, ready to welcome some great bands into the city.
Combing tonnes of amazing artists from a range of genres like; rock, metal and punk, you know you’ll love the line up at this year’s Hit The Deck festival. Prepare yourselves for the latest instalment in this brilliant music event which only began in 2011. Even though it is a relatively new event, it’s already established itself as a big one! With an impressive line up of over 30 acts already, you know it’s going to be awesome.
The eight venues across the two cities are some of the best that they have to offer and are all ideal for these types of events.
Hit The Deck Festival: Nottingham Stages
There are some huge stages at the Hit The Deck festival, which consist of Rock City, Stealth and Rescue Rooms.
Rock City – This is a standing venue and features no seating in the main area. If you wish to be seated there is a balcony area in the main hall, but you must be prepared to arrive early. With some events and gigs the balcony may be reserved or you may have to ask for specific reservations.
Rescue Rooms – The Rescue Rooms has two main areas; the Main Room and the Red Room, which will both be hosting the Hit The Deck festival events. The Rescue Rooms is an incredibly popular venue in Nottingham which has hosted a phenomenal amount of acts over the past few years.
Stealth – Stealth is one of the best clubs that the Midlands has to offer and has welcomed some of the best acts onto its magnificent stage. With an impressive Funktion One Soundsystem you know it’s going to rock your world.
