With many different ballet tops available today professionals find it easier to find the perfect dancing t shirts for their performance. The purpose of dance clothing is to not only ensure that the dancer can feel comfortable but also allow more movement. This is why there are so many dancing tops; they are the perfect way for a professional performer to rehearse. There are many different aspects a dancing t shirt needs to make it perfect for a dancer, as they will spend hours on end rehearsing vigorous dance moves. Just like ballet leggings, footwear and leotards, these tees need to be perfect for long periods of time. The aspects that a ballet top is preferred to have include:
Flexibility: This is a very important feature that these ballet tops need to have as performers will be creating extravagant movements with their arms as well as legs and need to be able to perform to their best ability.
Lightweight: If you’re dancing for a long time the last thing you want to be wearing is a heavy thick top, this is why it is advised to have thin and light dancing t shirts for rehearsals as well as performance.
Baggy/ Fitted: Now this can differ depending on the purpose of a rehearsal. If it is just to practice moves and get the flow of the performance remembered then baggy t shirts are fine as they keep you refreshed. The fitted dancing t shirts are preferred for rehearsals when choreographers need to know if a dancer's body is moving properly or even for the real performance.
All ballet tops have different purposes; this is why they have vests, three quarter lengths and dancing tees available. Professionals rely on their tops to give them more movement and comfort and if they have the wrong type it will affect their performance. When it comes to costumes, however, the style of top will change but they will still keep some of the features listed above. It is important to have the correct dance wear for a performance and this is why there are so many ballet tops out there today.
