Todd Goldman, the founder of David and Goliath, first borrowed money off his father to enable him to carry out his work, and in 2000 the alternative clothing brand was launched in Clearwater, Florida. Todd Goldman produces a huge range of clothing including t shirts, hoodies, vests, sleepwear with various designs, books, bags and other accessories to cater for a large fan base that is spreading across the world. It is this versatility and wide range of apparel that has made David and Goliath clothing the success it is today.

The founder of David and Goliath clothing was heavily criticised in 2004 when he released a range which was claimed to be sexist towards boys, with slogans reading "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them!” but it was dismissed as just a bit of fun. Since starting the business in 2000 he has not only expanded to a world renowned clothing company but has also opened his own gallery which is popular with famous celebrities – Rihanna spent a huge $35,000 in just one trip to the LA gallery in 2009.
