While Sullen clothing is primarily a brand that supplies high quality apparel, they offer much more than that to their large customer base. Having celebrated their 10th anniversary at the start of 2011, the guys at Sullen have had over a decade working with the best designers and world-class stars to form what is now one of the biggest alternative lifestyle companies around. Based in the sunny climes of Huntington Beach, California they are constantly producing innovative, imaginative and sexy clothes for men and women. It is the relationships that Sullen clothing have built up with tattoo and graffiti artists that has allowed them to do this.
Co-owner of Sullen clothing, Ryan Smith, has been a professional tattoo artist for 12 years and you can certainly see the influence this has had on the company’s direction. They now like to define themselves as an art-driven lifestyle apparel brand, providing tees, hoodies and other items with unique artwork and designs. These are produced by the Sullen Art Collective, a group of modern, up and coming artists that collaborate with the company and, in return, receive their support. Out of this collaboration, the artists get a great platform to showcase their work while the company produce tattoo and graffiti inspired clothing that appeals to many of society’s sub-cultures. It is this appeal that allows Sullen clothing to grow year on year.
As well as working with well known artists, Sullen clothing have aligned themselves with a range of top sports stars and bands.
