The Jessie J revolution is upon us and it’s filled with awesome band merchandise and records we can’t get it enough of! This legendary artist has been impressing with her voice since the moment she could hold a note and even as a child she was able to involve herself in incredible experiences, including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Whistle Down The Wind’ West End production. The beginning for Jessie J’s career really started in 2005 when she was signed to Gut Records, unfortunately the company went bankrupt, which left Jessica Cornish with still no Jessie J songs out on the market! After this, it all went upwards. She gained a publishing contract at Sony ATV and also got to be a support act for Cyndi Lauper on her tour (she even joined her on stage for Girls Just Want To Have Fun). Whilst working as a songwriter for Sony ATV, she wrote chart toping songs for Miley Cyrus, Chris Brown and others. This isn’t all she did either, whilst finding her way to the top, Jessie J created a lot of tracks and even produced videos on YouTube.
We bet you didn’t know this but Jessie J was also in a girl band for two years whilst she was signed with Sony. They were called Soul Deep and she left because of thoughts of it not going anywhere. Its lucky she did really, because now she is a mega star that sells band merch all around the world. She was eventually signed to Lava records and began making her a career a huge success. She started creating her debut album in 2006 and it was finally finished in 2011, including many singles that are close to her heart and a title that she says displays one of her greatest creations. Her first single, Do It Like Dude, release was in 2010, before the first Jessie J album was finished, and it effortlessly went to number 2 on the UK charts. The incredible artist that is Jessie J has done a lot more than write songs and sing, she was also a host on The Voice. She joined the show with Will.I.Am, Danny O'Donoghue and Tom Jones. After this show she also worked with David Guetta on ‘LaserLight’ which did incredibly well and sola lot of band merchandise. There is really no stopping Jessie J, which is why she has done so brilliantly since her first release. In the last two years, this star has created chart topping hits and is even the first British female to have six top ten hits from one album, and it was her first as well! Every Jessie J tour and gig is sold out and her CDs are selling amazingly, which is why we know that she will be joining us for a long time.
